Laurelwood NW Public House

December 27, 2010 8 comments

After much consideration and many months of debate we must announce the final closure of our NW Public House, our last day of business at that location was Sunday December 26th.  We informed all the staff on Wednesday December 22nd and will be able to give many of them full, or part time positions in our other pubs.  With declining sales and the economic conditions in certain parts of town, we had a hard decision to to face and we know that it is the right decision for our business at this time.

We had a great 6 1/2  years at that location, a lot of great memories and made a lot of friends-for that we will be forever grateful.
We would like to take a moment to thank you our guests, for your loyalty and patronage to our establishment.  We would also like to say that we have an amazing staff that we are proud to work with and are grateful for all that they have done for us.  As mentioned before we are doing our best to accommodate transfer opportunities.

We do hope to open another location over the next year or two, in a nearby neighborhood here in Portland.  In the meantime please visit us at our Laurelwood Public House & Brewery location on Sandy Blvd in NE Portland, Battle Ground WA, or either of our locations at Portland International Airport.

Again, we will miss our NW pub and know you will too.  Thanks again for all your support.

Happy Holiday!

Laurelwood Toy Drive and Gift Card Donations.

We here at Laurelwood Brewing Co would like to invite all of our patrons to help us give something back to those in need this holiday season.

First off, during the month of December all Laurelwood locations are having a toy drive with donation boxes available for you to drop off new and unwrapped toys.  All Portland location will be donating to the Doernbecher Hospital http://www.ohsu.edu/xd/health/services/doernbecher/ and our Battle Ground location will be donating to Bridge The Gap http://www.btgcc.org/ .  Both are very worthy organizations that  need our help bringing a smile to children in need.  To say thanks for supporting these great causes Laurelwood will be offering a 10% discount off your tab on Wednesday, December 15th for those who drop off a toy that day. (limit one discount per table)

Next while thinking about gift ideas for the craft beer lovers in your family, consider getting them a Laurelwood Brewing Co re-usable gift card.  During the month of December 10% of all gift card sales go to benefit a local food bank.  In Portland  proceeds will go to the Oregon Food Bank and in Battle Ground will be supporting the North County Food Bank.  Not only will you be giving a gift that your friends and family are sure to love, but also helping those less fortunate than us this holiday season.

We wish you all the happiest of holidays and the brightest of New Years.

Cheers!

2010 Laurelwood Limited Edition Bottle Release!

December 1, 2010 7 comments
The 2010 Laurelwood Limited Editon 1 liter beer will be Green Mammoth Organic Imperial IPA!
As with every year’s Laurelwood Limited Release, this beer is very special, very limited and very delicious. We’ve created an ale that’s perfect for sharing with friends and family or whom ever you choose. While we suppose you could keep it all to yourself, we’ve always believed, ”A shared beer is a better beer.” Any way you savor it, we think you’ll find Organic Green Mammoth a wholly satisfying beer experience.  This is the Imperial (read big ‘ol) version of our Green Elephant Organic IPA. This beer is all about hops, hops and more hops. Cascade, Ahtanum and Amarillo hops added in the kettle, hop back and fermenter give this beer it’s kick.
Green Mammoth is set to be released in stores (Oregon & Washington) and in all of our pubs December 13th.  These limited edition, swing top & screen printed bottles are a true collectors item and will sell out fast. They will retail for right around $15.00.  Look for them where ever fine handcrafted beer is sold.
