Peace, man, peace. Make beer not war. The Peacenik Pale is a sweet, light amber beer with an herbal yet fruity hop profile. A blend of Amarillo, Northern Brewer and Sorachi Ace hops lend this ale a round noble hop taste with a hint of tangerine. Drink a pint and feel the love. Peacenik Pale will be on tap today at Laurelwood Pizza Company. Come by for a pint!

So here’s the deal. The bi-monthly magazine The New Brewer (which is the journal of the Brewers Association) has released it’s annual industry review issue for 2009. Total beer production in U.S. barrels are listed and we are very happy to announce that Laurelwood Brewing Company is the third largest brewpub in the nation. Ok so to clarify, the Brewpub category is defined as ” a brewery restaurants with at least 25 percent of beer sales on-site.” This is very cool and all the credit goes to all of you great beer drinkers out there that have supported us and believed in our craft beer as much as we do. For some other cool stats from 2009 visit www.brewersassociation.org/pages/business-tools/craft-brewing-statistics/beer-sales

Laurelwood NW Public House has re-opened it’s doors today after a 4 month re-model. The place is looking great with new floors, paint, kitchen and most exciting; a new menu.
Our NW Public House menu proudly features delectable apps such as Dungeness Crab Dip, Beef Short Rib Empanadas, Sauteed Calamari and House Cut Fries. If your feeling more more like a salad you might think to try the Baby Arugula Salad with Hazelnut Ham, Olives, Roasted Peppers, Manchengo and a Sherry Vinaigrette. For a Sandwich try a Turkey and Avocado Panini or a Grilled Linguisa Sausage. Don’t worry we kept the Halibut Fish and Chips but added Beef Short Ribs and a Grilled Paillard Chicken Breast to the entree’s.
We have a brand new Happy Hour menu featuring many of our tasty new items like house ground hamburger sliders, fried mac & cheese sticks and blackened fish tacos. Daily 3-6 pm and 9pm-close. Most importantly we have the same great BEER!
So next time you are in NW Portland come by and visit.
